Windows 10 End of Life

Microsoft Windows Logo

Microsoft has announced the end of support for Windows 10, which will take effect on 14th October 2025. After this date, Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support.

What This Means for You:

    • Security Risks: Without regular updates, your system may become vulnerable to security threats and malware.

    • Software Compatibility: As software developers move forward, you may encounter compatibility issues with new applications and updates.

    • Limited Support: Technical assistance for Windows 10 will no longer be available from Microsoft.

What Should You Do? To ensure your system remains secure and up-to-date, we recommend upgrading to Windows 11. Windows 11 offers enhanced features, improved performance, and ongoing support from Microsoft.

Compatibility: Not all computers can be upgraded to Windows 11. Microsoft has a list of supported processors Windows 11 Intel CPU Supported List and Windows 11 AMD CPU Supported List. If your computer is not compatible then we can assist with replacing it before October.

Migration: We can help in assessing current hardware and software compatibility, determining the timeline for migration, and performing the migration of and installing your new computer.

Colfer Technology Services can assist with upgrading or replacing your computer. Call today to discuss your options.
